OLSPS’ flexible and dynamic electronic logbook solutions have consistently led the way in improving fisheries data collection, storage and management techniques designed for ease of use and accessibility of fisheries databases by multiple and diverse end-user groups around the world.

Solutions for data management include a data harmonisation tool for commercial fishing data and a customisable web-based database application. Our highly customizable and comprehensive solutions have allowed the development of tailor-made products to suit a host of clients and diverse needs – from small-scale operations to entire fleets, and over a variety of different species, techniques and existing practices. 

Whilst adhering to national regulations, The Olrac software offers numerous added features that are not required by regulation, but which provide significant benefits to the fisher.

HOW MUCH DOES FISHERIES DATA MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE COST?The Olrac Fisheries Electronic Logbook Solutions (Fisheries eLog) pricing model includes two segments:

  • Initial, once off fee for product customisation and deployment: Costs are estimated on time and material and submitted to client in the form of a Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Ongoing annual licensing fee which is an agreed-upon % of the initial development costs, typically 20% -30% of initial costs.

Licenses for Olrac software includes ad-hoc telephonic, email and remote access (where possible) support for the installed software.

Such support will be provided to resolve bugs or issues that prevent the software from operating as intended as per agreed specifications, or that hinder the normal operation of the software.
